Nora brings a strong and varied background in public health governance to assist clients in strategic policy and funding proposals, and government processes. Nora achieves her goals through relationship building and collaborative processes, while creating positive stakeholder engagement and goodwill.
Nora held a broad range of positions in two Ontario government ministries over 30 years, retiring as Program Manager of the Independent Health Facilities Program with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Nora gained expert knowledge of IHF regulations, policies and procedures from 10 years of working in the IHF program. She provided analytical and operational support on changes to physician funding as part of implementing past agreements with the Ontario Medical Association. Nora also has experience in the development and application of public health policy as Program Manager, Primary Care, and through project and committee work on community-based specialty clinics and diagnostic services.
Nora was an ACE Award recipient for 2 years in a row; first in 2013 for Innovation related to establishing the first midwifery-led community-based Birth Centres in Ontario, and the second, in 2014, for her cross-functional team work, ensuring that the most up-to-date mammography equipment is used in Ontario hospitals and clinics.
